KWMC associate, Argie Drakos, was successful in a motion for summary judgment in a premises liability case venued in Suffolk County. Plaintiff claimed he was injured when the defendant DJ’s speaker fell onto him during a party. Our office represented both the caterer and the owner of the venue. Per the Order of the Hon. Vincent J. Martorana, dated June 28, 2024, the Court held that, as our client did not own, maintain, or control the speaker at issue, dismissal of all claims and cross claims was warranted.
