Partner Announcement!

We are pleased to announce that Carl Schaerf, Carol Kotsinis and Gary Smith have joined our firm as partners. They each bring with them a wealth of experience litigating complex and high exposure labor law and general liability matters, which will enhance our ability to serve the needs of our clients.

Carl Schaerf, a graduate of Columbia University and Fordham University School of Law, has over 30 years of experience litigating products liability, professional negligence, labor law, premises liability, and ERISA cases. He has provided anti-trust guidance to major retailers, distributors and manufacturers.

Carol Kotsinis, a graduate of New York University and St. John’s University School of Law, has been defending products liability, labor law, premises liability, municipal liability, motor vehicle, subrogation, and toxic tort cases for over 20 years. She is also experienced with rapid response accident investigations in New York and New Jersey, commercial litigation, and all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts.

Gary Smith, a graduate of Penn State University and Brooklyn Law School, also has over 20 years of experience representing clients in federal and state courts, administrative hearings, and arbitrations. He has handled a wide variety of matters, including negligence cases, real estate disputes, insurance matters, employment disputes, consumer finance matters, claims for disability discrimination, mass tort claims, and cases brought pursuant to New York’s labor law.
