Jeffrey was born in West Islip, New York. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Manhattan College in 1981 and his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 1984.
He was admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States District Courts, Eastern and Southern Districts, in 1985. He was Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Civil Trial Advocacy in 2006, and recertified in 2011, 2016 and 2021.
He is a past member of the American Inns of Court, Theodore Roosevelt Inn. His current memberships include the Defendant’s Round Table and the Medical Legal Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association, and the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.
As an attorney, he is AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for the last several years as a New York Metro Super Lawyer.
For the past several years, Jeff has acted as Managing Attorney for Kerley, Walsh while also maintaining an active trial calendar. He primarily tries complex medical malpractice actions for physicians and hospitals in all of the Long Island and New York City Supreme Courts.
